You know in HL2's story The Combine put something in the water to make people forget so they can control their minds, Valve sure did this, and that's why Portal's credits "ARE THE BEST", and I'm sorry if my opinions don't fit into the mainstream's pretentious intellectual expectations but PORTAL SUCKS TOO! By the way another credits sequence 10000 better than Portal's is the one from Hitman: Bloodmoney
u don't have to beat gh3 on expert to get through fire and flames credits. i beat on medium cuz i suck and i still got the opportunity to slaughter that song
@Neil_Clancy I had a list of about 25 that I had to cull down, otherwise it would have been a very long video. However, I didn't have that one. Good shout!
Mark Walton must not have played Hitman: Blood Money, because otherwise it would have to be on this list. You come back from the dead and kill everyone at your own funeral in Blood Money's credits!
@Saint0814 How Warcraft 3's ending didn't get on here is beyond me... seriously one of THE best ending sequences in any game ever. Hell, that was one of the best games ever made.
@69GamerKid69 Prince of Persia was not included because the end credits sequence remarkably managed to make that game worse. I didn't want to help Elika, Elika didn't want me to help her, the entire planet thanked her for her sacrifice, and yet...because a guy with nice abs wants a lady friend, I had to give up everything for her. And as others have said, Super Smash Bros is the game most noticeably missing from this list.
I was sure that the Warriors on PS2 was going to be on there. After everything you get a chance to wail on the main bad guy for as long as the credits rolled. Simply epic.
@SipahSalar I don't think people suck up to valve. I think the love gamers have for Valve is completely justified. I mean, they're independent and don't take money from outside sources, which means they have the creative freedom to make games like portal 1&2.
I'm surprised that Sega CD's Earthworm Jim's Easy ending wasn't on here. I loved that ending and it was hilarious (to my 13-year-old brain, mind you). So, honorable mention then. Also, Portal's ending was EPIC! I beat the game just to get the end credits and enjoy the song.
Call of Duty 4 GoW 2 or was it GoW1 with Cole Train being a hype-man. Mass Effect that track sounds like something from the 80s, yet futuristic Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Portal 1 ... and 2 *not as awesome* Street Fighter Alpha 2 and 3.
Hmm, is there a written article version of this ? I *read* my articles, news and reviews, I don't *watch* them. When I want to watch something, I put a movie on my DVD player...
Hitman Blood Money has one of the most creative credit endings I've played. You think the game is over, music plays, text rolls, screen gets blurry. Then you slowly rise and kill everyone! Simply awesome.
