Representation doesn't mean greatness

The game needed a strong soundtrack to carry things through and with that, they deliver. I appreciate the level of effort put into this aspect of the game because it isn't something we see too often with indie games.

Visuals: 5 out of 10
A 5 doesn't mean that it is bad. The art style fits the game well enough but much like other aspects of the game, it is simplistic to a fault. It's not going to wow you or blow your mind. It's just fine, that's all you can really say about it.

Gameplay: 3 out of 10
Once you have gone through the story-related dialogue, the goal is to create a dish (hopefully without error) in order to advance further into the story. It's as simple as clicking and dragging items together or doing a QTE. Thankfully the game is short because this would wear out very quickly. There's no depth here. It's too basic to be worth anything of note, let alone praise.

Other:
The dialogue choices in the game as unnecessary. They don't affect the story in any way and it honestly feels like a minor tweak in order to give players something to do instead of button-mashing through dialogue. The story is too predictable. There's no replay value. Getting all of the achievements in this game is super easy and will be a huge reason why most gamers will give this a chance.

Overall: 4 out of 10
Let's face it, The only reason this game is getting praise is because it is about a race that isn't represented much in gaming. Representation doesn't mean we should ignore every bad aspect of a game. We can appreciate it while also recognizing that this game doesn't do anything that other indie games do way better.
