The disc for Vampire rain has one side coloured black, so if you get caught in a snowstorm at least you have something to catch a rescue teams attention, and the other side is reflective, so you can shine a torch on it and pretty colours go all over the walls. If you put the disc in a microwave, it even makes a groovy light-show, all you'd need is several copies, several microwaves and some techno music and you're set to party.

Thing is, the disc is by far, the best thing about Vampire Rain (so those guys who downloaded it... oh oh, oh dear). Its an example of a game that tried to be everything, and failed to be anything. You can see the story elements of Resident Evil, mixed with the stealth game-play of Splinter Cell, the horror element of resident evil (again), the tech of Metal Gear Solid, it does sound like a good game to play.. sounds like.

In actual fact, this game is appalling, the only good thing is that it takes 5 minutes to grasp that. The story is stupid, the game-play doesn't work and the visuals belong in a last gen console game. The controls are completely tricky, and the vampires themselves... I'd be surprised if they remembered to go inside when the sun came out.

So yeah, this is a game you buy for the disc. If that's the case, might I recommend buying a stack from your local electronics store? Same price and you get more of them. Avoid Avoid Stay away, because it is definitely not worth playing.
