Even if you hate bullet hells and RPG's you have to play this game.

User Rating: 10 | Undertale PC

A flower wants to destroy the world and you're stuck in an oppressed society that hates humans and you're the only human around but for some reason they don't throw you to the wolves.

This game has a weird presentation that rings very much EARTHBOUND. It feels like a spiritual successor in just about every way. While it has similar game play, it has one mechanic that makes this RPG probably win the most creative RPG in the history of mankind. You can play the game without having to kill a single enemy and the game kind of encourages it but if you prefer to play it like a traditional RPG but to get the best ending, you have to be very merciful.

Still it's all down to choice. What makes this game exceptionally amazing is that it remembers everything you do. You can restart the game half way through and it will KNOW that in the next play through. You can become a psychopath and kill everyone and it will remember that. It's quite a feat how each play through the next one seems a little different. It's these details that would make a great game exceptional.

The graphics are clearly Earthbound inspired but the level design is exceptional. While sure some could say it's dated, I felt it's pleasing, especially for the price it goes for.

The music is also fantastic. I love it. No bad tracks and they're all catchy and the final boss themes are really exciting and great finales.

Despite the somewhat simple premise, the story is very well written and does have great characters. I didn't dislike any characters and some of the bosses will make you regret killing them if you go down that path.

It's quite an achievement that this game was made by one person. An excellent RPG that MUST be played. The only real downside I can think is that it's only on PC and MAC. It really needs to be ported to Sony,Xbox, Nintendo, Android and Apple platforms. It should be experienced by everyone who likes video games at least once.

I really don't give many games this score, but this game is dripping with atmosphere and style. You really owe it to yourself to play it.
