So remember when you played a games where you had lots of action, but it was pretty linear? Remember where you played games where it was nothing but endless puzzle solving and you felt like you were trapped in someone's poorly designed maze? Well this is far from it.

In the single campaign alone all of the original good guys are back. A few additions are added to help with the fun web that is Drake's life. The voie acting is great and keeps the mood light. The level design is fun, and the multi-level combat is great. The pesky baddies keep coming, and they are better at sneaking around on your. My only complaint is the shield in the bad guys hands makes their front defense almost impenitrable. The controls are great, and they really help you along with the slight innaccurate jumps to ledges. The worlds are definitely more fluid and more real. Not fighting only on an island is definitely an improvement. The stealth option to the game is really handy, I'm not good enough yet to take all the baddies out with out being spotted, but i definitely knock out a couple of them before the gunfights begin. The hand to hand combat has been simplified with the square being all melee and the triangle being evade. It plays out pretty well and gives you a chance on the easier difficulties to react slower to the evade in melee. The cinimatic that goes with it is fun to watch. With the gun combat cover works just as well as it did before. It's great until they swarm you. One aspect that has changed; however, is that during gun combat they can loose sight of where you are. During in game play a shield gunman was coming at me, and when he put up his shield to block a bullet barage, I rolled to the opposite pillar. He around the corner and could not identify where I was and I did a stealth finish on him. It's a great aspect that was lacking in the first game, where once they saw you there really was no running away.

Most of my time so far has been spent on the Multi player side. I downloaded the beta trial and really wanted to see the finished product and other levels. Lag has not really been an issue in game play, and the availability of players playing at one time is always high. The different types of multiplayer are really good, and the levels each their ability to pull of the same gunfight in many different ways.

For all you adventure game lovers, who also like a side of Multi-player action, this game has it all. If you loved playing the first one, this game is definitely for you.
