Even though Twisted Metal: Black is barely even on the market now, if you manage to find this game buried behind several other Playstation 2 games at a store, yes, your eyes have met your purchasing destination. Twisted Metal: Black stands very tall on so many respects and delivers as much as if more, than any other Twisted Metals' or vehicular combat games to date. The graphics are a little more top-notch than the other Twisted Metals, the characters and their cars are surprisingly funny and outragiously odd and the same ol' weapons plus a select added few still make Twisted Metal: Black fun and let's it shine. Your objective in the game, however is still the same meaningless objective. Kill all of your opponents and win the Twisted Metal tournament. Easier said than done. TM: Black has a more difficult learning curve than the previous TMs. The computer's AI is a lot smarter and defeating other cars could be a nuisance if you're not already familiar with the Twisted Metal concept. For a game that was released a year after the PS2's debut, Twisted Metal: Black is a fun ride for anyone willing to take it. For it's small and not-so-anticipating price that is on the cover, you will be highly surprised about what this game has to really offer. An 8.7 out of 10, definitely.
