The Turok series started on the N64 and continued to the PS2 but the series was never a hit and was overshadowed by other shooters like, Half Life, Goldeneye, Unreal and others. Sadly, Turok for the xbox 360 is not a popular game but that doesnt mean its not good. Touchstone has completely rebooted the series, you don't play as the previous turok. Things are a little more sci-fi than they were before. The character (Turok) was part of a special team of hunters and assassins. He leaves them and joins the human army to bring turok's old team to justice. There ship is shot down by the bad guys from the mysterious planet. They all have to fight for surrvival and justice at the same time. This is a ordinary FPS, you have assault rifles, shot guns, pistols, snipers and the most awesome weapons the knife and bow and arrow. A good way to describe the game is, its a cross between Rambo and Jurrasic Park. You shoot crazy dinos and soldiers that need killing. One weird thing how ever is that when you attack a dino they bleed a lot but when u shoot a soldier they don't bleed. Some people wont care but I think its kinda weird. Gameplay is really fun, worth a 20 dollar purchase. Turok runs on the Unreal 3 engine so you will notice good character models, lighting effects, and textures. It does feel like you're in the jungle fighting to live. If you love playing first person shooters and killing dinos, Turok for the Xbox 360 will not disappoint.
