A quick summary of one battle and a couple comments that you should read before buying.

This game seemed promising, new, fresh and interesting so I bought it on direct2drive.

Last night I had a multiplayer battle that lasted over 2 hours and 30 minutes long. Now you say, "Awesome!" But you haven't heard why, please continue to read and hear me out. The enemy had four catapults that would have decimated my army if I attacked him. Because he had spent his money on catapults, if he attacked me, my army would have decimated him.

We both REFUSED to attack each other and we chatted about our stubbornness (I read a book to pass the time). Our armies sat still for 2 hours and 30 minutes until he finally showed he was more mature then me and attacked. Guess who won? I did. Was I happy? No (I was slightly amused). I think I sat through that nonsense just to prove to myself I couldn't play the game again (and because I'm stubborn).

Point? No incentive to make any moves on either persons part in multiplayer battles! No resources to obtain, no victory points to capture, no time limit, you can't make more units, NOTHING. In fact in many of the multiplayer battles, the player to attack first loses. STUPID.

At the beginning of a multiplayer battle you will purchase your army with a limited amount of funds. The balance of the army you buy and how it matches up with the other players army is completely random. There is no way to know what troops the other player buys before the game starts. Victory is sometimes determined from that randomness. Example: You spend extra money on cavalry and he spends a extra money on spear men. He has a significant advantage for absolutely NO reason. Except hes probably a better roulette player than you are.

This RTS requires a unique personality to like. In my opinion if you like RTS' such as SC2, or CoH, you will not like this game.

This games graphics are pretty, the sound is great and the ideas behind the multiplayer fantastic. But this game falls short in the most important game category; game play.
