Best tennis game out there, and best Top Spin game to date.
Positives:
The gameplay is much smoother, and it feels like more a tennis match.
The ranking system and calendar work really well and it's quite simple.
The character development is simplified, but it makes it so that you cannot put everything towards a couple key stats. This will help on multiplayer to keep it fair.
The match difficultly is great, I have played a lot of tennis games and there should be a setting for everyone.
Negatives:
Still no commentary, I would love to hear a Robbie Koenig, Patrick McEnroe, or hell, if they get desperate, even a Brad Gilbert.
Net play can feel awkward, sometimes when you are wrong footed, your player takes a long time to react.
Sometimes the players look a tiny bit on the possessed side once their faces have the shine of sweat on them.
Overall:
I'm really enjoying the game so far, and I plan on playing much more. I'm a tennis player and fan, so this is obviously slightly biased, but if you are interested in tennis at all, it could be for you.
