Top Gun thinks gaming is about gameplay

Have a look at gameplay videos of this game. If you like what you see then you'll like this game. Top Gun Hard Lock is all about gameplay, the frames around the gameplay are pretty cheap and there is this one (of few) brief cutscene in the game where you land on the hangar ship that's pretty funny. It has no details, no feel and it cuts off before it's over. That made me laugh. Humor is a good thing. Dialogues are immature American macho style (like the movie but worse still and cheaper) until you fall over or get brainwashed to be point where you don't hear it anymore or can't appreciate the difference anymore. But once you're passed this point you'll appreciate the game even more.

Because the grainy graphics look cool, slow-mo after nailing a hardlock takedown is cool-looking, flying, dodging and maneuvering is cool and make up a great game. How you fly matters, different planes have different intercept speed, manouvering agility and somewhat different weapon loads. And Danger Zone (survival mode) is fun and I bet online would be awesome if the online-code I payed for had worked and if players are online (I suspect not).

I've spent more time with this game than I thought I would. It's a nice break from the formulaic AAA titles.
