I thoroughly enjoyed THPS 3, 4, and THUG. THUG 2 was awful however (Margera is a tool, Dunn rules). Now enough is enough. The gameplay is dead to me. The same old tricks over and over again. Tricks that happen so fast you can't really appreciate or enjoy them. Plus manualing has ruined the game. It's so easy getting a 6 figure score with manualing. This is always the formula: Grind, flip tricks, manual, flip tricks, grind, flip tricks, manual. AlF**kingways. They put too much emphasize on stupid scores over style. Individual style and expression is what skateboarding is all about. Not spazzed out animations and button mashing. I know, I know, its a game right? The only worthwhile feature is the amazing soundtrack the games always have.
They need something new. Less flash. MORE REALISM. Make tricks harder to do. Style over score. REALISM. Slow things down to a REALISTIC pace. REALISTIC gravity. Back to basics. A complete overhaul of the control layout.
The gameplay of THPS stopped being fun and fresh a couple years ago. It's time to go in a new direction Neversoft.
