The Start of a New Legend

User Rating: 8.8 | Tomb Raider: Legend PS2
Crystal Dynamics reinvents a fallen icon and heroine from the 90s in Tomb Raider: Legend.
Sexier, sassier, sleeker and smarter than ever before, Lara Croft returns with a new origin, a new continuing quest and a new repertoire of moves and gadgets to plunder the odd tomb or infiltrate the occasional mercenary lair. And while the adventure is a bit short, the intuitive controls, the great character designs and animation, perfect voice acting and tons of replay value make this a great return to form for Lara and a treat for gamers of all skill levels and preferences.

Lara looks great from head to toe, as well as the world she inhabits. This is a vibrant, exceedingly beautiful game- one of the best-looking PS2 games yet. It's all about Lara, pistol belts and that sexy, ripped black dress. Mmm.

Gameplay: 8
Slick controls and intuitive gameplay slightly let down by the sometimes confusing camera.

Sound: 9
Amazing music and great voice acting, particularly in the part of the lovely and lethal Miss Croft.

Value: 9
A great reinvention of the character and franchise, with tons of homage to the original game and to the films so that everything meshes in a cool mix of old, new, original and radical. It's sexy, smart and slick in every way. Tons of unlockables and great gameplay so getting them is a pleasure.

I 've been a TR fan since day one, and I have to say... I LOVE this Lara and this game... IMO, the best TR ever. It's a whole new Tomb Raider. What's past is prologue... Lara for 2000's. She's back and she's here to stay!
