A good Splinter Cell game marred by some technical issues.

I was extremly excited about playing this new SC for the PSP and I finally got my hands on it... Well ummm I'm a bit disappointed. But first:

The Good: This is classic Splinter Cell gamplay here. All the moves, weapons and gadgets are intact. The controls take awhile to get used to but otherwise work pretty well. The voice acting and music are exactly the same (thank God!). Altough very dark most of the time the night vision goggles help you see even better than the console versions, which is something I was worried about thanks to the PSP's glare problem. The thermal goggles even work very well on the portable screen. As usual the story is deep and compelling, which is what you expect from a SC game. One thing that didn't meet my expectations was...

The Bad: ...the graphics. Now I know this is a handdeld, I shouldn't expect much but I just played Daxter and Syphon Filter. Both of those games had damn near flawless graphics. Don't get me wrong the graphics aren't horrible by any means but I just think Ubisoft could have spent more time on it. Another problem was the sound hiccups that accure frequently. This same problem often happened in the current version of Prince of Persia for PSP. This is something that needs to fixed in future games. The AI needed a little more work as well, I found myself taking out guards way to easy which is something I never did in the other SC games.

The Ugly: Looking inside Sams head totally freaks me out!

Final: This is a pretty good Splinter Cell game on the go. If you are a fan like me you might be a bit disappointed with the graphical and technical problems but in the long run it still has that SC feel.
