Go-Go Gadget Tablet!

User Rating: 10 | Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist WIIU
It's almost funny and predictable how the folks that don't have the option of playing this title on the Wii U grasp for something to declare as missing from the Nintendo version of games. In this case it's "Offline Co-Op". Let me clear that up right away -- every co-op mission is there, all the co-op features are there, you just have to be connected. Now I could go on about how much easier it is to control your gadgets, snake cam etc.. with the genius of the Wii U tablet, but there are just some people that would rather have "offline co-op" and have to pull up radial menus and sub screens in the heat of a mission than live without "offline co-op". I'm not one of them. I love a good co-op game and the Wii U delivers beautifully. A friend and I sat in the same room, did missions together and never once thought we were missing something because we were online. The single player campaign offers more upgrades, side missions and exploration than you can shake a stick at, and while it was hard to tell the difference at first between the Wii U version and the PS3 version in terms of graphics, as soon as the missions with rain, unique lighting and many objects on the screen, the Wii U shined over it's PS3 counterpart. (my brother got it for PS3). We didn't experience any stuttering or evidence of a hurried a port, instead the three of us all concurred (even the ps3 player) that the Wii U version was superior. It's a great game, that offers such immersion you almost forgot that you're not really Sam and for the most part, this is almost a perfect return to form of the Splinter Cell series. Ubisoft has shown why they are a premier game company and should be applauded for supporting Nintendo's fledgling next gen system. A truly gorgeous and top notch title!!!
