How could a game like this be worthy of the Tom Clancy name????????????????????

ss4kakashi's review for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter.

Like many, I was taken in by the hype of the Ghost Recon series, by the Tom Clancy name on the cover, by the stunning visuals (back then) and the games futuristic action. But all this proved to be just "cover" deep. When I first bought this game, I was very excited to play a game that was supposed to be better than Call of Duty. And at first, I was taken in by the amazing graphics and tantalizing storyline. But after several missions, I quickly lost interest.
After the first three or so, missions, the objectives become recycled, and the story starts to lag. The story revolves around a peace summit in Mexico City that soon becomes an assassination attempt. The main objectives in the story stay the same, save the president at all costs. While in most games, this task would only take one or two missions; the entire plot of GRAW revolves around this objective. But this is a fairly small problem with GRAW. The main problem being that the game is just too darn boring for anyone to keep an interest in it for more than a few hours. There is not that amazing, heat of battle feeling that one gets in a Call of Duty game. During the game there is no chance for you to mow down hundreds of enemies, which of course, is the foundation of any first-person shooter. There are just too few enemies to kill. While this may seem fun at first, you quickly wish for more of a challenge. The AI somewhat make up for this due to their adaptability. You will see them ducking for cover any time you approach. And not to mention the fact that, you only can take three shots before you die! But these challenges prove to be all too easy to overcome. Once you get the hang of the game, you will breeze through the missions like nobody's business. In fact, some mission will only take five minutes or less to complete. The variation between the different missions make the story seem very disconnected, causing you to not really be motivated to complete all the objectives. Your teammate's AI is merely okay; since they let you do most the work. You can send them out to do the dirty work for you through the CrossCom system. But be careful, they will take damage, and it is not easy for them to regain full health. You, on the other hand, automatically heal to a certain point. Making the game far too easy to play.
In short; don't buy this game unless you are a hardcore Ghost Recon fan or a tactical shooter junkie. If you are just a guy like me, who likes First-person shooters, then don't bother with this game. But if you are very intent about this game, then rent it first before you buy. DON'T make the mistake I did when I bought this game.
