Enough to remove GT4 from the pedestal as greatest PS2 racer? Maybe, if the number of delays is anything to go by.

Codemasters are the masters at sleeper hits. Not so much hits in the UK and Australia, where many of their games are targeted, but they sell well in the US and Japan too. TOCA/V8 Supercar Race Driver 2 is in this category. Gameplay: Standard racing with two great features. Realistic car damage visually and somewhat realistic control wise. And PS2 online, which is rumored not to be in the initial GT4 release (so people buy it and the online capable version no doubt.) I was a huge fan of GT1-3, but delays have cost it my dollar. Graphics: On a par with GT3, and adding damage. Backgrounds are a bit poorly developed, but you won't be looking at them at slow speeds too often I hope. Sound: Clever pit crew radio, but can't give this a super ranking, due to lack of music whatsoever. Value: Way higher due to online play. When we can get 20 player races, that will be awesome. 6-8 now is good enough for me. At least it will be after exams, and my no-racing ban imposed due to a small reallife traffic incident comes to an end (self-imposed ban, not harmful due to GTA and Star Ocean and DW4:Empires) Final word: This game is better than they give it credit for. Give it a chance.
