What this game doesn't have in length, it more than has in emotional impact.

User Rating: 8.5 | To the Moon PC
To the Moon isn't your usual game. It's more like an interactive movie. But for $10 and taking about 4.5 hours to complete, it's more than worth the price.
Before you play this game, be warned: Unless you are VERY emotionally strong, this game will make you cry! Unfortunately, this game can completely butcher the mood, trying to be funny. Luckily, these moments do not happen often, especially in the climax of the game (thank goodness, if they did that, I would be quite mad). This game's graphics are really reminiscent of older games, which is a cool thing to see. The difference is, these graphics are beautiful. You don't need to have the best graphics engine in the world for your game to be pretty. There is no voice acting, so you will need a pretty good reading skill in order to play this game to its full potential.
I believe not having voice actors is a good thing, because most likely they would just take the emotion out of the dialogue if they didn't read it right, or if they are just bad voice actors. Considering this is an independent studio, they would probably be cheap voice actors, in which case makes it a good thing they didn't have voice actors in this game.
This game lasts 4.5 hours; in today's market, a game being that short is usually a bad thing. The difference here is what this game does in those 4.5 hours. I played the whole game in one run, and I'm certain I'm not alone there, it really keeps you hooked right until the ending, and when that ending came around, I was really satisfied. It was just like watching a really long, really good movie.
At $10 dollars, this is better and about double the length of most movies today, in my opinion.
This game single-handedly proves that you don't need the best graphics, the best voice actors, a giant studio funded by a huge company, or all that long a game to make an amazing experience. This game will keep you hooked right until the ending, and for 10 dollars, that is a very good thing.
