Long and repetitive, a boring game with amazing range and diversity of spells.

I bought this game due to it's mythological setting, enjoyed it for like 10 hours but then got bored quickly due to its extremely repetitive nature. In this game you play as a Greek warrior and grow from the humble beginnings to a wealthy and skilled warrior. The game's main storyline leads the player from a small village of Helos in Greece through the hot lands of Egypt to the mysterious Orient for the final battle with a titan. I find most of the monsters quite easy (played on the normal difficulty), but some of the bosses are actually a bit hard. My usual battle tactic was to run around the boss in circles whilst my pets were finishing it off. And it worked all the time. There are 4 big bosses: 3 in the end of each act and 1 end-game beast. It takes quite a lot of potions to defeat them. And when you finish off the last of them, your journey will come to an end. Well, it won't, because you will unlock another dificulty to play on. But I just didn't have guts to farm for another 50 hours just to play it again. The graphics are pretty solid, but some effects (particularly those that work with particles) are pretty laggy on some PCs. Skills are divided into 8 masteries and each of them is original. The inventory system sucks because it's slot-based. Gah! If you like grind fests and repetitive game play this is a game for you. Otherwise, you'll get bored quickly.
