One of the best sports games out there. Even if you don't like golf!
The gameplay would not be so great if it weren't for the fantastic courses that cover over a range of countries which means that most of them are all very different with their own unique style. There are also a lot of courses so the varity is brilliant. Also to add to this, the graphics create amazing colour. With the shirt of the player, the yellow of the bunker, the green of the grass and the blue of the sky. The character graphic is done well with nice touches and human like features and with the golfer, the atmospheric scenery, and simple yet well laid out commentary, the whole thing comes together brilliantly.
The sound of the game is not neccesarily one of the strong points but the sound in the game is all that is needed for a golfing game. There is music on the menu just to give it a bit of flavour with nice, relaxing, calm sound effects that can be heard during play in the game. The sounds of the ball being hit with the club is nicely done, the sound of the ball whistling through the air and the plop of the ball landing on the ground.
And just to add to this extradinary asorment of technology, the length is astonomical. There are many different courses, levels, other players, challenges and just in general things to do. This game can be played for ages and you have only completed the Tour. There is just so much in this game I cannot imagine how they can bring out and even better version next year. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is an extremely good sports game whether you actually like golf or not.
