Not worth it, just get TW10 instead.
The wind often will not affect the ball, ie a 20mph cross wind will not defect the ball when it should. This happens quite often. If you use putting preview you will notice that once you preview and make no changes and hit a perfect put the ball will travel in a completely different path then indicated by the preview. The ball will frequently travel over the hole at very slow speeds as in a tap in.
Hitting the ball off the tee with a perfect hit, the ball may drift far off course, with no wind.
EA prides itself at making quality games but they failed with TW09. So if you are thinking of getting it, don't. Get TW10 instead as these bugs are virtually gone in that game. The only feature about TW09 I like is the simultaneous play, that is a great feature.
