Not just kids-adult appeal, it's too fun!
The sequel really did not ditched all the features, both good and bad from the first one so Thrillville gamers can feel the appeal of it. Now time for some serios JUDGEMENT!
Like the first one, you can build rides. This time the game improve a lot. With some tack pieces called WHOA you cam make the guests feel the thrill of the coaster. You even not finish building the coaster to make the ride crash. Luckily, the guests can get down safely via parachutes and loving it. If you don't like building your own coasters or race tracks, you can just pre-built like the carnival rides and games.
Upkeeping is just like the previous game. You change roles with the staffs to clean parks, repair rides and cheerlead in minigame style. Like what I said in the last review, BORING. The other minigames however are fun like bumper cars, RC, trampoline and many more.
The game may looks like Roller Coaster Tycoon but i disagree. It's more like the Sims(you can talk, flirt, discuss about the park status, matchmake, play minigames etc). The discussing topics aren't outdated like the old one. You will discuss more than just food, politics, history, environment like music, gossips and many more.
Buisness is like the last one. Buisness missions in the game will appeal more on adults because don't much about buisness. You won't expect them to know about profit, salary, debt and a lot more, right.
In the starting of the game, you will only own one park, then you unlock the other four to solve the theme park problems using the basic four steps on top. Good luck.
The storyline is linear though. It's about Globojoy, a theme park company which failed to attract customers had slowly going uphill without warning and ruined your uncle Mortimer's buisness. It's up to you to save the day with some Thrillville critics. Beware, not all friends are trusted. You will get to create your character. Look like we get into The Sims topic again huh.
Unfortunely, the graphic looks like a little worse for me compared than the last one. They should have make the frame rate better and make the parks bigger so gamers won't feel like their rollercoaster looks like not enough scapes to build.
However, the audio improved in the game. It sounded more realistic than ever and more types of songs are inside. There are comtemporary songs like Aly and Aj's Potential Breakup Song, Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten, OK Go's Here We Go Again and so much more.
Buy this game and make yourself look like a real roller coaster park manager!
