User Rating: 6 | Thrillville: Off the Rails X360
Thrillville was originally released on the PC.It won a number of awards including ''Best Family Game'' and sold descently. It has been ported to current existing consoles inlcuding the Xbox 360.While the it has all the mini games and the same amount of fun as the original PC version,Thrillville on 360 more expensive than the PC version(about ten dollars more) and does notthing to improve the alrady fun PC coaster original. The gameplay is similar to Rollar Coaster Tycoon. You create your Roller Coaster Park and try to make profits out of it.Like Roller Coaster Tycoon, there are numerous different rides to build, you have to hire workers, you have to learn to please customers, you have to make safe roller coasters that will attract customers, and you have to be able to make money out of the park yoou made. There is one significant twist:YOU GET TOENTER THE PARK AS A PERSON!You get to play many of the minigames the park you build offers and you can even ride the roller coaster you build!Man,Roller Coaster Tycoon should include this! However, since the game is more expensive than the PC version and could have added a number of useful improvements. For example this port does not offer any extrat mini games or new features in building and managing your park.Additionally, the game fails to take advantage of the power of the Xbox 360 to produce newer better graphics(which is quite unforgivable considering the price you paid for this game and the fact that the PC version has already been around for over a year).I suggest you rent this game and try it out before buying Thrillville on the 360 or better yet buy the original PC version(which is much cheaper) or buy the Wii version(which is the best version in my opinion). The price on the 360 version of this game doesn'tustify the lack of improvements that could have been made to the gameplay or the graphics.
