Well most games never reach that "perfection" status but this one does and I feel all warm inside to know that i owned this.

1 on 1 combat, you in the white suit and your oponent in the red suit. It can be a single player or a 2 player. The aim was to hit your oponent only once to bring him down and score a point. A clear hit was worth a whole point, a minor strike was worth half a point and you needed 2 points to clear the round and advance. The more times you advanced the harder it became and more switched on the computer became.

A series of moves was available that involved you pointing the joystick in a direction and pressing the button. Up+button was flying kick, forward+up+button was high kick. Down+button was low punch. Down+forward +button was sweep. And they could all be reversed depending if your oponent was facing you or behind you.

small facts:

- The game also had this little old man in the background sitting, who would do the scoring with his fan of destiny hehe.
- During the loading of this game, at about half way the picure of the game would come up and if it did, you knew it was actually going to load up :)
- when it loaded, you knew your volume was too high because a soundbite from Enter the Dragon would SCREAM AT YOU AND YOU KNEW TO TURN IT DOWN. gotta love dial volume monitors back in the day hehe
- I think a release came under the title, Karate Championship or International Karate championship which had a really good run itself, but this was the original. Oh, incidentally IKC is the game that can be seen in the movie Bloodsport.
