What could've been a great game if not for the problems it has, The Suffering turns out to be a not so very good game

User Rating: 7.1 | The Suffering XBOX
The Suffering - the term "Almost, but not quite" suits this game perfectly. It has a good story, it has a pretty good idea of game play, it was just delivered the wrong way. The Suffering does give you some enjoyable killings and a LOT of blood, but that won't exactly make this game great. The story is good, but it was explained very poorly. Too low amount of cut-scenes, I would guess there are less then ten cut-scenes through the whole game. And also they're short. The game lets you make lots of decisions which later on will give you different endings depending on how you played the game. There will often be guards and prisoners running around that need your help and you will hear voices in your head, a very evil voice that often says "F*ck him up, kill him, he's trying to fool you, f*ck him!" and a voice of the main character's wife "No! Don't kill him, he needs your help!". And of course you can understand which one you have to do for a good and bad ending. Lot of mature content in this game and bad language. I don't know if I should recommend this game, I personally am not going to pick up the sequel, because I didn't have very good experience with this game. It's both bad and good. But you can ofcourse check it out, just because of the violence.
