I think Sims games are funny for 1 reason. When your life has become so boring that you have to put in a game and play the boring life of a Sim character, that's funny. Now that's not to say there isn't a bit of entertainment in most sim games, but this one is the exception. Basically, you start as a normal person, you go to work, talk to your neighbours, make friends, fight with those friends, sleep and eat...oooooo, fun. There are a lot of better sim games out there, like the Playboy Mansion, or the Urbs, or basically any other Sims game ever made. It was like they experimented on this game to see if you can really control some human speaking an alien language, then they added the fun stuff in future versions.
