the sims 3 was my first real pc outing with the series. After playing the somewhat dummed down ports of the sims 1 and 2 for years, I never really understood it. I didn't like the controls, and the limited exploration and gameplay really sucked, but once the sims 3 came out I knew this would be the game to change my opinion on the entire series.
My mum was practically begging for me to get it too, so on my birthday I did!
when I booted it up on my computer I was instantly sucked in.
there's just something fun that comes from pointing at numerous objects across the world just to see the really funny and charming animations. Plus as an artsy person I like making really individual and crazy looking sims.
the open world was what really interested me from the trailers though, and that aspect didn't let me down either.
it's an imensely fun and addicting experience just to have my evil sim sneak around the neighbourhood at night, or to torture my couch potato sim by making him go for a leisurely jog and the absence of loading screens takes a lot of the frustrations from it all. I just love it all! the whole thing is an imensely captivating and enjoyable experience which will have ANYONE (except fps fanboys) addicted for years to come. roll on the sims 4!
