The video game that captures The Simpson's in the right place.

User Rating: 8 | The Simpsons: Hit & Run XBOX
This is probably the most definitive game to be made for "The Simpson's", as the humor, appearance, and everything else you'd expect in a video game based on the "yellow family"...done right.

Story: 6.5 (The story is average to decent, but it is in fact tolerable)
Graphics: 8.5 (If you wanted to know what The Simpson's looked like in a digital, computer graphics-like state of appearance, this is probably how they would look, as their world and all is done well)
Music: 8.5 (The music that resembles the show is fine, nothing to complain so far)
Controls: 7 (The actions can be full of humor, but the combat seems to be pointless and unnecessary, minus ONE, and only ONE opponent)
Sound: 9.5 (The original cast do fantastic as always, along with the sounds of realistic surroundings that match the series in an almost perfect way)

The story, is...well...it starts off with Homer Simpson drinking (obviously) and notices a surprisingly large insect, only to have "coins" pop out of it, with a strange logo that appears in a "Krusty the Clown" advertisement resulting in him and the rest of the family (and even Apu) in a strange plot of "foreign" people capturing people and having them disappear, and...(to avoid spoilers, I will stop here). The story is okay, nothing really bad, just something that isn't really at all interesting, as if it already was attempted (on the show of some manner), but it is decent and the game gets away with it.

The game-play is like a mock-up parody of the "Grand Theft Auto" video game series, as the clear idea of several game-play elements are involved (like the wanted stars, the similar map of the town, the "wasted" feeling of being "defeated", cars appearing via a phone call, or just stealing a car from someone, etc.), but this isn't a problem, as it helps make the game more familiar to those familiar this the Grand Theft Auto series. The replay value in this game is pretty good, with it's decent to even well collective amount of things to collect ( "Itchy and Scratchy" cards, and coins to purchase new vehicles and costumes for the characters). The combat is based on solely one enemy, and that is the insects that we see in the start of the game, and that's pretty much it, otherwise combat wouldn't be needed, as it is a game based on the The Simpson's, it really doesn't need combat, just mild humor (simple strangling of family members is the only violence we usually see), and everything you'd expect is here.

The game is a must-have for fans of the animated sitcom, and a worthy rent for those who aren't.
