The Simpsons game for the Playstation Portable. Is it any good?
When i finally did pick it up, i was astonished at how well it played and how fun it actually was. But the game has it's flaws, and some of these flaws are big.
Graphics - The graphics are good. Average, cartoonish Psp graphics. They can be hard too look at sometimes and if you go up close to any textures they look pretty ugly. The graphics on the pedestrians themselves are very nice and resemble The Simpsons characters very well.
Gameplay - The gameplay can be annoying sometimes. The camera is pretty horrible, but you will learn to live with that in most psp games, What with the psp only having one analouge nub. But it's just annoying that you have to actually stop and hold the left shoulder bar and move the analouge nub alot. Jumping i found was also a big problem. Alot of times i just couldn't jump far enough or i could not see where i was jumping due to the horrible camera controls.
Sound - The music is pretty average. There isn't much to expect from a Simpsons game music ways. The sound effects were amazing. The character voices were top notch and everything else was just great.
Misc - The cutscenes were so funny. I had to "Lol" everytime a cutscene triggered. Te level design is also pretty nice.
I can't reccommend this game to everyone. But if your a big Simpsons fan, then this will be an average platformer.
