First off. I take reviews very seriously. I look at multiple sites, and I pretty much play games that are 8 or higher. For some reason, 1886 just stuck with me, and I had to play it.
I think the reviews of this game are way WAY off. It's a solid 8-9. It has a good story, a polished game style, and should be thought of as an interactive movie. I enjoyed the plot, the style, and the way it was presented. I think the reviews of this game are representative of an entitled gaming community that no longer has an attention span. Everything should not be open world, everything should not be 40+ hours long, and everything should not be geared to people with no attention span.
This game is great. The story is great, the graphics are the best to date, and the acting is great. The fact that people are complaining about it is absurd and childish and unfortunately represents a trend in gaming that is ruining well told, linear stories.
Play this game. It's worth it.
