Tasty Thief

This is a puzzle platform gem that kinda snuck under the radar. Once again it take the concept of getting from point a to b and does something more with it. There isn't much of a story, your just simply a pie thief that steels pies, that's it that's all you need to know which is fine by me because this is one that is about doing. The graphics are great, the background is a little homage to the german expressionist silent films and I like the character and cut scene animation which looks like something out of the illustration art from bizzare poet Shel Silverstein. This I think is great because it really gives the game a bizzare and funny atmosphere.

The control is pretty soild, but what really makes this game stand out is that it utilizes filming physics. In the game you have the ability to record your character's movements, after your done recording it them produces a clone which repeats the exact movements or placement. You are able to keep this clone existing to whatever use you need him for or simply erase up and just start over. There is a limiting factor in each level you can only produce a certain amount of clones depending on what the situation requires, so this is a game that causes you to think about you next move, to plan you next move carefully, but also to figure out the correct order on what to do first to last.

Not just are each the stages a different chalange, but each of the levels always have a catch because each one has a certain element that requires you to get the pies. This makes the game all the more interesting and really causes you to exercise you brain mussles, each of the levels are all by their nature a different type of puzzle whether it be timing or correct placement.

The only problem I have with the game are certain puzzles in the game might be too tricky for their own good, not to say their insoluable but it really took more practice than desired to get it right. That's not a bit deal but it does bring it down a peg for me.

Overall, this is a soild puzzle platformer that like any pie in a pie baking competition is worth a taste.
