The Lost World is just another movie-cash in that does nothing but disappointment fans of Jurassic Park.
The graphics are just awful. I can understand the power of the PlayStation, but seriously, it's not that great looking. Everything pretty much seems the same color, and it turns dull after the 1st level. And on top of that, let's talk about the difficulty...By far, this has to be one of the most hardest games I've played to date. The controls are just horrible, it either doesn't want to do what you've commanded or it does actions, as if it has its own mind. The levels aren't that well done, its as if you're just running around in a circle. The Compy levels are the most frustrating out off the rest, next to the T-Rex levels. When you get to play as the humans, the controls really start to get you from there. You see, you have a grappling hook on your gun, but the problem starts when you have to run and jump over a large gap, for example. The controls often don't let the hook work, and you constantly keep falling to your death, which is frustrating. On top of that, you barely gain any ammo on the way, and you'll be using your tranquilizer darts for the most part. Let's talk about the T-Rex after all of this. The way you control him is really clunky and he moves so slow when you want to speed run the levels. I have never managed to beat this game, due to the horrible controls and amazingly bad hit detection.
Do yourself a favor, stay away from this game, or if you happen to play it, just punch in the cheats to skip a lot of the annoying levels.
