A great action game with RPG elements and some great unlockables.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is the game based on the 2002 movie of the same name. Two Towers is an action game with RPG elements and all out hacking and slashing. It also contains a vast amount of unlockable movies, interviews, some levels and a character and more. This provides the game with reasons to play through the whole thing.

You can be either Aragorn, Legolas or Gimli. Aragorn is kind of the well rounded character while Legolas is faster and Gimli is slow but strong. You can shoot arrows too. The levels are pretty long and either require you to hack and slash through vast armies of dwarfs or help citizens from invading forces of Sauron and Sarumon. There are some neat boss battles also.

Even though it goes by the name of Two Towers, EA never made a Fellowship of the Ring game. Instead VU games did and it turned out not so good. So, EA molded in parts from the first movie in here too like in one level you have to protect Frodo from the evil kings by lighting them on fire. The game isn't too long and there aren't too many missions either so it won't hold your interest long after you've beaten it. You can level up your character and buy new moves also.

The graphics are great. The level design is amazing and the character models, if a little blocky look pretty good. The game runs pretty smoothly. The PS2 version I noticed kind of runs a little bit slower. The music is fantastic and the voice acting has been done by the real actors.

Two Towers is a great game but if you want more fun pursue Return of the King. It is longer, has co-op, better graphics and more unlockables. Still, this is a great action game.
