"Not exactly an RPG, but a good game none the less, featuring lots of action"

So, you spent your precious gaming time watching the LOTR series, and thought.."WOW, THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT RPG". Well I'm afraid if thats what your after don't bother playing it. This game is pure combat. There are no mind bending puzzles, and in depth plots, or anything of the sort.

Throughout the game, you can control up to 4 characters, each with their special moves. For example, Legolas is great with arrows, and the dwarf is great with axes. Each character can be leveled up, and can learn special attacks as you progress through the game, and many times you might want to replay each level with each character to make sure they all level up. Graphics/Sounds wise the game is beautiful. It has many great environments, great designs, and cool monster fights that can actually get pretty challenging. The sounds are not bad, but they could be better. The sound acting sounds muffled, and the music is a bit too loud, but this can be ignored thanks to the great fighting mechanism. The fighting mechanism is the heart of the game. You can parry, attack, jump back, fire arrows. If your looking for a good sword fighting experience, this is the game you want to have for sure. The value of the game is horrible. It might have a lot of replay value, but you can beat it in a mere 5-10 hours depending on your skill level. The only good thing about the value is that you can go back and beat it twice because the combat is so much fun. In the end, this is just another spin-off game of a movie. It might be a bit better in some areas, but you can tell that it was low budget. I recommend you play it if your into action/combat games. If you think its an RPG, rent it first.
