One of the best Legend of Zelda games of all time!

I was, at first, very skeptic about this addition to the Zelda library. All I was hearing was "cel-da" and how the graphics were destroying the whole experience... but I reserved the game anyway because I knew that Nintendo would not biff a franchise like Zeld. They may change the face of a game, but they don't muck with the content. And to tell you the truth, this game is simply amazing!

At first, the graphics look kind of kiddy, and the whole atmosphere seems geared toward a younger audience. But, the thing that really caught my eye at first was none other than jumping out of the tower and into the water... and ohhhh, when I saw the splash that Link made in the water, I knew I was in for a great game!

Behind the kid-like appearence of the game on the outside is a very deep graphic engine and story. The graphics make things, oddly enough, act and look more real. The facial expressions, the movement of the body, as well as the wind and how it affects the grass and the trees and the sea; everything just looks realistic as anything, and it all looks amazing. The gameplay here is the same as it has been since the beginning of the Legend of Zelda series. You must save the world, and this time your sister as well, by going through many dungeons and finding the necessary items to progress further in the game and further into the story. There is a bit of slowdown to the gameplay though, when you're sent on a scavenger hunt around the world to find certain items as sailing can take some time. I didn't mind this though, beacsue I thought that the sailing was fun and exciting, especailly trying to find hiddent items and fight other boats and stuff like that.

There is a lot to do in the open sea: you can dig up buried treasure; you can find the fish that has the map for the square that you're in and see what lies there, whether it is an island, or some treasure or something; you can also engage in ship battles once you have the bombs in your inventory.

The music, again, is classical Zelda and works well with everything else. All of the sounds are pretty sweet as well with tthe smashing of pots or enemeies or wanything like that.

Overall, this is still a great Zelda game, and any fan of the series should pick this game up. Behind its kiddy look is a very deep game, and you won't be dissapointed! I just can't wait to see how the next Legend of Zelda plays out, and I hope it's as breath-taking as this one! Happy sailing!
