A great revamped zelda game, and an instant classic in my eyes.

The gameplay as for every zelda game is quite easy to master. All that is required is you know how to move link and how to fight. Although i do not like the two button system for using items and weapons, I personally feel more comfortable having the sword set on the B-button and switch what item is needed and using it with the A-button, as the previous zelda games were like. Actually this would not work because some obstacles in the game require you to use 2 items at once to overcome, which was a really unique way of overcoming obstacles i thought. For example link needed to jump over a really big hole, so to do this you would have to equip the Pegasus boots and the roc's feather to run and jump over the hole. Its ingenious i tell you!

The graphics are somewhat good considering it was one the first games to come out on Game boy. Graphics were enhanced and color was added to up the ante.

The sound was probably the low point of the game. The world music was ok, but the dungeon themes I found to be quite dry. Also sound effects were kind of elementary as well.

This game was quite long as a zelda game should be. It averaged me around 15-20 hours to beat it the first time through. Extras include heart piece collecting and picture collecting as well which could substantially increase your playing time.

The story was quite a bit different this time around. I don't want to spoil anything to the people who have not played it yet, but supposedly link is in a dream, or is he?

All in all, a great zelda game that left a good mark in the zelda series. Some sound and graphics enhancements would be nice, but what the heck it is only a zelda game. Enjoy it, I am sure you will, as I did.
