This is the first zelda game iv ever played and the first time iv owned a nintendo console and i must say this game alone is worth owning a nintendo switch for which is lucky cause its pretty much the only game worth buying at the moment! The game has you waking up 100 years after being defeated by calamity ganon which is the games main bad guy! From here you pretty much can tackle the game anyway you want it doesnt really tell you what you should do! All you know is you have to beat ganon and there are four divine beasts you can conquer which will make the final boss battle easier! To say the open world for this game is amazing is an understatement! Theres so much to do and explore in this world its just insane! The map is just great its massive but no matter were you go there always seems to be something intresting around every corner. One of the main things youll find scattered across the world are shrines which are mini puzzel dungeon! You have a bunch of abilities speacial abilities which you will have to use to get through these dungeons they are easy to beat but still satisfying! You get orbs for beating these dungeons which you can save for upgrading you health or stamina bar! I believe theres 120 of these scattered through the world and iv played about 50+ hours and only managed to collect beat half of them! The game also has four main dungeons to beat which are the divine beasts! These are the personal highlights of the game and you can finish it without even doing these! The gameplay is great with it being suprisingly difficult! Id describe it as an easier version of dark souls! The combat is alot of fun with there being many ways of usually taking out your foes from stealth kills to rolling rocks down mountains through groups of goblins! Youll find that your weapons break really quick so youll be constantly picking up what ever you find! You'd think it would be annoying but it adds to the game and instead of you using the same weapons over and over again youll find you will use a variety of weapons and tactics which adds to the game. Its also a blast getting around! You can ride horses, paraglide and even shield surf down mountains which yiu will want to do all the time instead of quick travelling so you can see everything this world has to offer. The game has so many other features and bits and pieces that i havent mentioned that its just ridiculous! The games graphics are good aswell it reminds me abit of fable! But the game in general just looks nice with its cartoon style graphics! The weather looks great and the day and night cycles are awsome to look at while playing through this game! Its hard to find negative things for this game only things i can think of would be maybe a better way to sort through your inventory cause that can be a mess at times with other games doing inventory management alot better there might be a few other small things but nothing worth mentioning! If you say you love games then i think with out a doubt you need to pick this one up! This can easily go down as one of the top all time best games! If i had to be more specific with my rating id definitely give it a 9.8 out of 10
