It was so boring and repetitive I didn't even finished the game
The ingame world is filled with monsters,beasts,nightmarish terrors and etc.Not just filled,OVERfilled.There are dozens of monsters everywhere you turn.Literally.It is not even logical to me how could people live there,where to get to the store or heck to get to the other town,you need to kill hundreds of beasts and monsters.You will die a lot no matter what you do.The character customization does not offer many options(I love character customization!),as you progress through the game you will get skill points for stats and abilities/spells but you can use only two,although you will mostly use one.The UI disappointed me,sure you can bind the abilities/spells with F1,F2...but rly?Why couldn't we get action bars where we can bind the spells and even make keyboard shortcuts.This game is the most repetitive game I have ever played.
But this game has good sides too like your companion Katarina.She's ghost of a noblewoman who was executed and in short as I said,she is your companion.I liked her,she had great animations and form.The dialogue in the game wasn't bad especially the dialogue between Van Helsing and Katarina.The models of the humans,monsters,animals,abominations and etc were awesome.
As I said I completed more than half of the game but I just could not continue to play.I got bored right after the second quest but I kept on playing till I finally gave up.I don't want to tell you if you should buy it or not,many people are delighted from it but I am not.Watch some walkthroughs,watch the gameplay and decide for yourself.I must add that it had really big potential to be a great game and that is why I rated it as ambitious but it is so damn repetitive...
