Cheap port of an old classic with absolutely no extra features or improvements, in a pathetic attempt to make quick cash

User Rating: 2 | The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return WII
Let me just start by saying this will absolutely be the most frustrating light-gun game any non-hardcore gamers will ever play for a console. Just imagine restarting the ENTIRE damn game, after you lose to the final boss due to some stupid game glitches (ie, targets not being hit when you're 200% sure you're clicking at the right spots, one particular spot this always happens is when the final boss transforms into the chainsaw boss, his head simply cannot be hit no matter where you aim and how many times you shoot). Apparently Sega does not know what a CONSOLE GAME means. Not only do they not improve ANYTHING (in fact, they made it worse) after bringing it to the Wii, they fail to even make some form of continue/save feature. No there are NO INFINITE CONTINUES, unlike what some of the other people said, until you beat both games (which is impossible without infinite continues anyways for one player, so what's the point?) There are absolutely no graphic improvements, no sound improvements (yes James, Henry and Amy still sound like dorks coming out of a mental asylum), increased difficulty, extra bugs and glitches (it's confirmed that in HotD 2, some ninja or dagger-throwing enemies are entirely invisible until they hit you, and no I'm not exaggerating or lying; also often enemies simply won't be hit even if you click the trigger like all 6 times in the right spot, it's as if the bullet is going through them) that were never even found on the PC version in the first place, a very stupid method of unlocking extra credits through dying repeatedly if you pass at least half of the game, and an "easy" mode that is the equivalent of "hard" mode on the PC/arcade version. The chances of you beating HotD 2 with all 9 credits, assuming you're an average light-gun type player, is slim to none. I'll be honest here, I'm an expert at light-gun games; I'm always the person who rarely if ever loses health in arcade/PC versions of light-gun games, and I failed to beat HotD 2 on VERY EASY MODE with 6-8 credits multiple times, when I beat the PC version of HotD with ONE or TWO credits. Your fingers will be sore after all the random button pressing, and with no damn save feature it forces you to have that half-hour finger-exercising schedule unless you don't care about restarting from the very beginning.
There are so many things wrong with this bundle, period. No one, especially fans of HotD, should suffer frustration and dead finger/brain cells from playing this. Yes I do regret buying this piece of garbage, and no I wouldn't even get it if someone gave it to me for free if I had the choice again. To be bold, this game deserves to be pirated and abandoned for the piece of crap that it is, and the insult to the HotD series.

Graphics: 3/10 The graphics haven't improved from their counterparts YEARS ago, because Sega is just too damn lazy to do anything other than repackaging it for the Wii, which might have took them 2 days to do
Sound: 3/10 HotD 3 voice acting is average at most (at least doesn't burn your years when you hear the idiots talking), while HotD 2 voice acting is so horrific that it makes you think they're trying their BEST to be the WORST at it. It's challenging to be this bad...
Gameplay: 0/10 With all the brain cells and finger cells lost playing this, this game is not fun, simply. Games are supposed to be FUN, and this one isn't, due to the lack of features, insane difficulty, and no damn save feature. It deserves a nice round zero for gameplay
Replayability: 5/10 If you're lucky enough to partner up and have two remotes, the game is beatable, and it might be replayable for you. Solo experience is a purely horrific one however
Difficulty: Extremely high, "very easy" mode is basically "medium" or "hard" mode on most other light-gun games, and surprisingly there is little difference between "very easy" mode and "very hard" mode, maybe the bosses have more health or something
Controls/bugs: 1/10 There are tons and tons of bugs in this game, ranging from invisible enemies (funny, they show up when they hit you) to enemies not responding to 6 bullets to the head. Since health is rather hard to get, those can be fatal around 99% of the time. Reloading in 2 is a total pain in the rear
Overall: I would not recommend this game to anyone, except those who has spare brain cells available, loves restarting games from the very beginning due to no save points, loves frustration, or is an expert light-gun gamer. Anyone else, which is like 99% of the gaming community, two words: avoid it.
