Not often do I give a game a 9.5, but this game is as good as perfect

User Rating: 9.5 | The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion X360
Oblivion, where o I start... I borrowed this game from a friend about 1 month ago, and haven't stopped playing ever since.
Everything about this game feels right, the NPCs, the big stretched out forests, the difficulty, even the smallest things like bartering feels so good.

Oblivion sets off with a nice cut scene, which let's you get familiar with the storyline. After that, you get to create a character. And you can change literally everything! Going from the chin to the forehead. This creation feels extremely satisfying, which surprised me. In lots of other games you get the feeling this creation is holding you up from playing the actual game. But in Oblivion it doesn't feel that way. I was busy with my character for over 20 minutes!

Once you get in the actual game, the first thing you'll notice is that the controls work nice and smooth and everything is in the right place. Skipping this first bit of the story, you get to the "Outer World". This surprised me as well, the big parts of Cyrodil you get to cross either by horse or on your bare feet are marvelous.
And now that it's 3 years ago that this game came out, the graphics are still superb!

I know that this has been noticed by a lot players but I still want to say it, walking while in 3rd player kind of sucks. The jumping looks unreal and walking is often not as it is supposed to be.
But whatever, this game is meant to be played from the 1st perspective and even if it was not, this game still has everything it is supposed to have.

Not often do I give a game a 9.5, but this game is as good as perfect. I hope you liked my review.
