Pack some ancient brandy and some firewood - you're going to need it !

User Rating: 8.5 | The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon PC
Bloodmoon is a solid, worthy expansion for Morrowind which reitterates exactly what Morrowind does best - throwing the player in an unforgiving wilderness which you will thoroughly enjoy.

From the harsh sandstorms encountered on the mainland, adventurers will be introduced to an isolated, frozen rock littered with Morrowind's trademark dungeons and catacombs, and assailed by very effective snowstorms which will limit your vision and make you feel truly like you are fighting the elements.

There is no solution to the hoards of gold you have probably already made on the mainland, in fact the quandry of deciding what to keep and what to throw away is made larger in this expansion, because there are so many goodies to be found on your travels and people to sell them too are not only few and far between, but have precious little gold to buy your treasures.

However, the sense of adventure and discovery - fuelled by an excellent storyline and the complete freedom to explore where you want and when you want to - greatly override this imbalance to the point that it is a side note.

I've yet to start the Tribunal expansion, let alone Oblivion or Skyrim.
But i have an awful lot of exploration in Morrowind ahead of me before i can reach these places.

Can't wait !
