Even though this game is based on a movie, don't sleep on it. It is actually a great old school style co-op game. Its not violent, so it blood splatter and guts is your thing your fix won't be met here. But if you like old school (don't quite understand that terminology) gaming like myself, this game is a great find, an underrated gem. I found a new copy at my local toys r us for only $9.98. the gaming world is over saturated with fps, hack-n-slash, and tomb raider/uncharted style games. It's nice to see a step back to how games used to be. The game is side scrolling at times, but still enacts 3 dimensional aspects. Other times its in a 3d environment. Co-op is fun with a friend, even without a 2nd human player, the cpu is still pretty intelligent enough to attack enemies and have your back while you unlock doors, or solve a puzzle. Some parts of the game you solve puzzles with your pet dog snowy, you sniff for enemies and follow their foot prints, other times you search for keys, and dig holes underground to find paths to help tintin get in, all the while being pursued by huge rats that you have to bark at to get them off your back, literally. The game has funny moments, some of the combat is hilarious, especially when guys are looking for you and your right beside them in a barrel. You can either choose to follow them, or pop out and hit them over the head with the top of the barrel. Only downside was plane flying, but it isn't that much to gripe over. the collision detection is great, it just doesn't hurt your plane, I suppose is indestructible, LOL.
