Imaginative and scary, The 7th Guest is one of a kind in those early days of suspense gaming.

When I began to play this game for the first time I remember having that sensation like; oh yes, finally the genre gets some quality!
Being a person that loves solving puzzles, this game provided it completely for me at that time. The atmosphere was indeed creepy and the game has the tendency to uphold that for a very long time during your play. Of course you can't compare the game to what we have nowadays, but if I must, well, it may be better that a lot of them that are now on the market.
The puzzles are not always for the faint hearted and do a lot of brain cracking. That's what I needed at that time, for the fact that this era had a lot of button bashers. This game was a big relief to me.
It's hard to explain, I just loved the atmosphere and the way you progressed into the game by solving the puzzles. If they ever redo this game (The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour) I would be the first one to buy it. There is a possibility that a puzzle would freak you out as it did me at times, but that's the goal of them. Calm down and think. If you can. :)
