Tekken Tag Tournament represents the peak of the Tekken franchise.

User Rating: 9.5 | Tekken Tag Tournament (Platinum) PS2
Tekken is the PlayStation equivalent of the SNES's Street Fighter II franchise. For each new release, Tekken has raised the bar in terms of animation, controls and gameplay for 3D fighting games. Tekken Tag Tournament was no exception and using the, at the time, brand new PlayStation 2 platform, it captivated us with beautiful fluid animations, pristine detail, huge selection of characters, impeccable controls and many gaming modes. The sound is clear, fast-paced and intense. TTT includes all the characters and stages of Tekken 1, Tekken 2 and Tekken 3, all jazzed up with PlayStation 2 graphics. Despite it's age, TTT remains a treat for the eye. To me, TTT represents the peak in the Tekken series, but this is of course a matter of preference and those who like the changes introduced in Tekken 4 and Tekken 5 might find TTT a bit antiquated.

My only beef about TTT is the lack of FMV endings for the characters and the omission of Gon, a small dragon, who is playable in Tekken 3.

So... if you are looking for the definitive Tekken experience, you owe it to yourself to get a hold of Tekken Tag Tournament.

Now, if only Namco would throw this one out on the PSN Network in HD.
