If you're new to the game or even the genre, this title has you covered. When you start the game for the first time you're invited to create a player profile which will track your progress, let you unlock goodies and accessories for your character, and generally get a sense of progress as you play the game. The process is more or less automatic, which is a smart decision. With that smart hat still on, the game offers you a tutorial to teach you about movement and the basic kinds of attacks. For a fighting game, typically made to appeal to people who feel personally insulted by a "tutorial," Dark Resurrection is refreshingly genial. This is a very entertaining game that does its best to be both accessible and playable on the go. If you're into beating people up, this game will surely smash its way into your good graces.
