Great game, but where the ^ยค#? is Anna, Bruce and Baek?

User Rating: 8.5 | Tekken 4 PS2
Many people say Tekken 4 is not as good as the other Tekkens. I understand that, because it has many new features, and some of them are just not that good... Like the movement, which has been changed a lot. This time, it feels like Virtua Fighter and Soulcalibur, since you dont need to sidestep to move left and right. Offcourse, sidestep is still included though. But because of this feature, jumpin and crouching are not as usable as they were before (and are in the next Tekkens too).

Another one of the new features is the arenas, which now have walls (not endless like they used to be), and some of them have uneven surfaces (like stairs) and some of them have objects in the middle (like the palm tree in the beach, which you can knock your opponent into). I like all of these features.

Another new feature is the new use for the X & SQUARE -throw command. This time, it's not a throw, but it allows you to change sides with your opponent. If you're cornered, use this.

The PROS:
+Tekken rules
+Great graphics
+Nice audio
+Great ending movies
+Not too hard, even medium is quite easy. But offcourse, experienced players can play on Ultra hard.
+Heihachi is not cheap, like many other fighting game final bosses are (*cough* Super Turbo Akuma* *Motaro* *Shao Kahn* * SNK*)
+Wang is not included in the roster (i hate Wang)

The CONS:
-The new movement system isn't that good
-Less characters (no Anna, no Jack, no Bruce, NO BAEK.)
-Combot (replacement for Mokujin) uses the same style for the whole match, and doesn't change between rounds.

So, after all, Tekken 4 is a great game.
