Too easy, Too short

User Rating: 5.3 | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 1989 Classic Arcade X360
This game provided me with some memories of little league and going to Pizza after games or with my parents. This game was much much more difficult and compelling 10-15 years ago. I don't understand the high ratings the game gets. I guess people like the arcade re-releases . The original, more difficult and MUCH longer NES game is what should have been released.

Gameplay: 6 Classic buttom mashing technique will get you through just about every character. There are really only 2 usable buttons on the control pad/ The side-scrolling fighting games are so 2 decades ago. The game doesn't have any glitches, but the game is so simple it is far from groundbreaking. Considering that this is a "classic" game that shouldn't matter, but it's so basic, even for it's time, that the gameplay became monotonous.

Graphics: 5

Again, even for it's time, these graphics were mundane. In an era when fighter games became popular and graphics began to become more "real", this game is very cartoonish. Most people would say "Well it's based off of a Cartoon you retard ; THESE graphics are just generic. Looks like a 3rd grader drew the characters and environments.

Sound: 6

I like the fact that they used real voices for the characters bebop and rocksteady, but what really bugs me is that EVERY time one of the turtles says "COWABUNGA" it's the same freakin voice for each character. It always bugged me that they had the villan voices but not the individual voices of the turtles. The sound effects sound almost 8-bit generationish.

Value: 4

I played it by myself and beat it in 20 minutes. Played it co-op, beat it in 10. After that I didn't see a point, even for the acheivements. This is one of those games that should have been left in the vault. Based on everyone elses reviews, I probably stand alone in thinking that, but I really think this game is a waste, even at 400 mp's. Tilt: 5

A game that is good to play once every 5 months. But if you have 400 mp's to blow, spend it on something like Root Beer Tapper or Paperboy because this game lacks options and depth. Very little has been added in it's re-release to render spending a nickle on it. Like I said before, the original NES version (non arcade) would have been a better one to release.
