Now I don't have to pump quarters into a machine all day.

It's about time that an almost perfect port of the arcade version of TMNT has hit home consoles. Plus it's for a very reasonable price. I remember when I was a kid I went through tons of quarters playing this game. There was always a line of kids at the booth too. That just made it that much more popular with myself and lots of other peoples too! This isn't completely arcade perfect. There are items missing from cut scenes but that's about it. You and your 3 other brothers battle your way through 5 levels of foot solders, bosses, and traps in your ultimate persuit of defeating The Shredder. Along the way you have to save April and Splinter. You have infinite continues and you can choose another one of your brothers after you perish. The graphics are top quality 16 bit graphics. The animation is flowing, the attention to detail is excellent, there is little lighting and shadowing use, but that's typical of this era of gaming. They are much like that of the cartoon and the comic for kids. When you pick your turtle they are the new pics of the new TMNT movie. But it plays like the old game. The controls are pretty simple. You push one button for attack, and another for jumping. You can preform a special attack by hitting both buttons at the same time. There is depth in the controls because timing attack buttons and distance can change your turtles attack. While all of them have about the same strength in attack. Leo and Don have a length advantace and Raph and Mikey are a bit faster. The music and the sounds are authentic TMNT from the cartoon. The voices aren't the same as the cartoons but they are typical TMNT slang terms. It's a typical hack and slash Double Dragon game. It's good because it's TMNT and it's the best TMNT game ever. Plus it's good for those who played the original arcade game. I recommend it. Enjoy.
