For those of you that remember the arcade version, TMNT is a welcome trip down memory lane.

TMNT is a welcome addition to Xbox Live Arcade. As a kid, this was one of the games that I truly saved up my quarters for to play at the arcade. At the time, I thought the graphics and gameplay were incredible. Though by today's standards, the gameplay is a little simplistic and the graphics are a bit dated. But who cares? TMNT remains a classic and enjoyable arcade game.

Looking at the game in retrospect, you may notice that it is really not much different than other classical beat-em-ups, like Double Dragon or Bad Dudes, but it's still a tremendous amount of fun. It was one of the first beat-em-up sidescroller games that allowed up to four players to play at once, which was a lot of fun back in the day, and remains a fun aspect of the current game. Unfortunately, the game is short, but it remains a faithful port of the arcade classic. Besides, you probably don't want an arcade game that takes forever to play anyway. Personally, I think it's a great addition to Xbox Live Arcade, and I hope to see other great titles from the '80s and '90s like TMNT added in the future.
