Cool fighting game for the Wii with an obscure, yet, for me, awesome character roster.

I know pretty much all the characters on the Capcom side and recognize a few from the Tatsunoko side, including Gatchaman, the ginger girl is from Neon Genesis Evangelion (I think) and the Yatterman characters I'm familiar with, I dig Yatterman, one of my favorite super heroes and Doronjo and her minions, Boyakky and Tonzura are great, hilarious villains. These are cool, unique characters, and I like them more than the Marvel characters, sorry, DC fan, don't really care about Marvel. I've had this game since launch, and I haven't played it as much as say, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, in fact, I kind of stopped playing after a while, don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the heck out of the game, but I had problems with the controls, yeah, I know, this game has the easiest, most accessible controls ever, but I experienced difficulties regarding certain characters when using the classic controller, the game would let me do Ruy's super attacks without any difficulties, however when I tried to use other characters super attacks with the exact same button pressing requirements, it wouldn't register, I became a bit frustrated and quit playing, I've now returned to the game, and I don't kow if it was the control itself, I have had some problems with it, or the game was a bit messed up, now, it worked brilliantly and felt way more fluid, I can now say, I love this game.

The controls are a big part of why I love the game, they are more accessible, but the fighting system is still deep and stringing combo's together is rewarding and takes some skill, newcomers can jump in and kick ass, which I'm sure will annoy hardcore pro's, but I enjoy being able to play against friends who usually aren't into fighting games, of course the hardcore game will have the advantage, but still, unexperiences gamers will have a shot. The game looks awesome, the super attacks are really flashy and look spectacular and very devestating, the game sounds terrific as well, mostly from the voice actors and actresses who lend their voice, some of which from the Tatsunko side I recognized from the anime shows their characters are taken from. The music varies in quality, I love the japanese title song "Across the Border", I think it's called, the english one is massively inferior and really cheesy. There's a ton of stuff to unlock, including bons characters, different colors for each character, galleries and movies. There's enough to keep you occupied, but when compared to, again, sorry, but Smash Bros. Brawl's plethora of content kept me playing for hours, days, months, but it's kind of unfair to compare it to that game, they are completely different, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom has enough interesting stuff.

So while I had problems with the game at first, I now enjoy it immensely and I'm mpressed by the characters, the attacks, the balanced gameplay and fun fighting action that can be played by anyone regardless of skill level, which could be bothersome for hardcore gamers, but for social gamers, it's great.
