This is one long game...but amazingly fun!!!

Tales of Phantasia for the GBA is based on the same game for the SNES (Super Nintendo). The whole game is almost the exact same thing except for the hidden character in the GBA version.

In the GBA version you can get a ninja girl name Suzu (not really a important character) I played the game without using her in my lineup / team. Anyways….the story of the game sounds like it was made up on the spot or something, but when you get into the game the story expands by itself and unfolds into an epic story.

You play as Cress the main character (you can change your form around) and your parents have been killed one day after a hunting trip with your friend Chester. You end up getting teleported back in time and that is when you learn about the true trouble and such.

Now for the fighting style. This is what makes Tales of Phantasia a great hit. The real-time fighting (if you want it to call it that) is very unique to the rpg games. The game reminds me of Maple Story (even though I despise MS) even the slash marks are the same. Anyways the extra attack features are pretty cool and the amount of new characters to your team is pretty decent.

Overall a pretty good game, kinda easy though. Very fun to play if you like really long rpgs with funny dialect.
